Visual programming is most valuable when the blocks represent a real system rather than a cartoon on a screen. ArduinoStudio lets students arrange logic in a browser, connect it to Arduino hardware, and immediately test the result on a circuit they wired.
The platform was created by inteRFace R&D to reduce setup and syntax barriers while preserving the engineering loop: design, connect, run, observe, debug, and improve.

Why browser-based tools help classrooms
Traditional Arduino setup can require software installation, drivers, board configuration, and local permissions. Those steps consume class time and can be difficult on managed school computers.
A browser workflow lowers that entry cost and lets instruction focus on logic and hardware. Students can spend more time testing a sensor or designing an interface and less time resolving unrelated computer setup problems.
Visual does not mean shallow
Students still need sequences, conditions, loops, variables, timing, events, and debugging. The visual canvas makes relationships visible, but it does not make the hardware automatically work.
A loose wire, wrong pin, reversed LED, noisy sensor, or flawed condition still requires a testable diagnosis. That is where the engineering learning happens.

When students later write Arduino C++ in LIGHTUP or another course, those concepts already have physical meaning. The text is a new representation of a process they understand.
